I was thinking not...I want to call my neuro surgeons office but I dont want to sound like I am being a baby and this is just normal...as I was thinking the tubing would go down around the right side of my neck through my lung area and then drain in the abdomen...so when I think of how I was told about how the tubing was placed I would not have thought my breast would be a place I would feel the shunt...someone please inform me if this is a normal position of the tubing...

Hello,
My name is Jennifer. I live in albuquerque,NM. I also have a VP Shunt. Ive had mine in since I was 15 yrs old. I've had tons of surgeries on it. From what I read about yours doesn't seem normal. I have a shunt places on the right side of my head. With the tubes running down my right side of the neck. The tubes are sitting in a chamber above my heart.
At one time they were draining into my stomach, but that caused major problems for me. If their is anything else I can help you with please ask!
