i have to use a desktop because when i sit down i have no lap!

when i had my neck surgery (i'm the consummate planner) i had food ready in the fridge & freezer. basically i took care of anything ahead to make things easier afterwards. my dr kept me in the hosp overnite for precautions but i would have been more comfortable in my own bed.

have a walker around in case you get up during the nite.
i didn't have any MS sx's besides fatigue with any of my surgeries.

make sure you take it really easy and rest, drink fluids.
have support people around who can help.
good luck with everything.
