With a chronic condition, I think we "get used to" pain, and as it slowly diminishes we may not notice.
The supplements work slowly but in many cases do work. When a skip occurs, that is when some people really realize that they are doing well with them.
I take 100mg a day of R-lipoic... I tried 200mg recently and it really made me hyper/anxious. But 100mg seems to be a good level for me right now. My feet only burn a little at night sometimes and then only briefly. When the crisis with Oreo started I noticed a huge leap in stress levels, and more burning. But now I am back to my usual occasional nighttime problems.
Is there a difference between R-lipoic and alpha lipoic acid. I got some alpha lipoic at Walmart. Did I get the wrong stuff?
