I looked up Nortriptyline in US in the FDA orange book.
The generics here are all capsules. This is because the parent drug Pamelor is a capsule and generics in US have to match the dosage form of the Brand name.

Elavil generic (amitriptyline) is commonly a little green pill, in the 25mg size. The 10 mg may commonly be pink. With tablets however, the colors are not required to match the Brand type.
