What (if anything) has helped the most during your recovery?

I'm almost at the six-month mark. I've been making progress, with lessening symptoms and better mood and sleep - am happy about this, but it truly is "inch by inch by inch."

Hi there,

Yes, inch by inch very much describes it I think! I would say that the only thing that helped was having extended periods sitting quietly in the bedroom with my eyes shut. I know that sounds basic but I'm not a patient person and I usually try and do too many things so just quietly 'switching off' all stimuli and accepting that yes, I felt incredibly crap (!) and couldn't change that or 'do' anything about it was the only thing that helped me. Really, I think your body heals and does its stuff in it's own time but accepting helps....
