Seriously .. Since my discectomy in 2007 my left big toe has been numb. As they years have gone by this has now spread to the whole foot and is heading up past my ankle. My foot seems to have no power and I keep scraping it on the floor and indeed, tripping up at times.

I asked my doctor about it when i last went to see her but she said to mention it to the surgeon who just said it is nerve damage and won't get better. Ok, it won't get better, but I'm a bit concerned it seems to be getting worse, not better.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Obviously I use two crutches when walking out .. But in the house I am ok pottering about, but with my left foot being floppy, I keep tripping. Is there anything I can do to keep my foot at least in one position??
Oh Saffy, I am sorry to hear about this! It does sound like nerve pain/issues to me too. I still have problems with both of my legs they burn then go numb at times and its frustrating and I am afraid of falling...Although I did notice that sometimes when I can catch my leg starting to burn real bad I turn my stim up and its like I can over ride it and then I don't end up having to drag it around all limp. I really feel for you because nerve pain is very terrible. I hope your doctor can do something or suggest something to help you. I know when I see my pain doc next month I am talking to him about getting on medicine specifically for nerve pain and see what that does! I am thinking about you
