Only in God is there forgiveness
the shuttering of things which are poison to the soul
the opening of eyes to morning song and bird accompaniment
the release of those who injured me in the wreck through carelessness
the release of doctors who refused to treat me for so long......
because I am a lawyer.
the release of the knowledge in waiting so long to receive treatment
my injuries became permanent, a forever part of this life.
the recognition through my injuries and pain I was blessed indeed
blessed to come to know all of those whom I have met here in this place
blessed to realize what it means to be wheelchair bound
blessed to have my "vision" corrected by God in order to acknowledge
ALL of the blessings He has laid before me
blessed to feel the mantle of His love laying upon me through His grace
and Sacrifice
To be held in His arms of love until my heart aches for those
who do not know
to be challenged by Him to share Him with six little words
I feel blessed, how are You?
To know He is upon the needs of all dear friends who have
physical ailment, infirmity, need for work, to feel loved, to feel valued.
Praying this Thanksgiving many more will give Thanks
than gorge themselves on the plenty known as Normal
while others thirst and hunger.
Blessed to invite a lonely man from our church to our table this Thursday,
Blessed to know the GREAT I AM.
