I would HIGHLY recommend the original version of the kindle. It is black and white, and doesn't produce ANY glare. (It was originally made this way so it was able to be read easily even in direct sunlight).

I was able to spend a great deal of time reading when I first was recovering, as opposed to being on the computer, because it did not have a glare component. I was also able to adjust the font size and number of words on the page so that it was comfortable for my eyes.

I have really bad light sensitivity, so the original kindle was the best route for me. The other one's I've tried through friends and they just make my brain hurt lol. So I'll keep with the original.
