Stupid friend. Maybe she was having a day too -- one of those days when she couldn't take waiting. It happens to everyone.
Can you by any chance get your hair done during the week instead of waiting until the weekend? The weekends at the salon are crazy busy. Could you go during lunch? After work? Or an early early Sat appointment?
My friends and I have colored each other's hair at home. I'm guessing you can go buy the stuff, color your hair and be done with worrying about it for a little while.
But I think that you want a cut and possibly a perm too.
Do you have any hair dresser friends who would come to the house? That would be cool.
In the meantime, I think you look great. We tend to be harder on ourselves than everyone else is.
I know what you mean about being frustrated that the friend didn't take to heart your warnings about being on the edge. The whole reason you asked her to come was to help -- not to be the rude police.
