If this appt was for myself I wouldn't go or would have gotten a ride, etc..but it was for my son -- I just figured I'd take the suffering later. So far, not nearly as bad as I expected....trust me not symptom free, but not much worse. I think I felt worse yesterday and barelydid a thing!!

I will say that I took an ambien last night and got decent sleep...whereas the prior two nights I barely slept.

am I in for a bad night and or awful day tomorrow?
IF you believe and anticipate an awful day tomorrow....you very well may have an awful day tomorrow. Believe that you will feel well. You set yourself up for failure if you keep saying over and over that you are going to have awful days because of x.y.z.

I drove to Santa Barbara from San Diego on Thanksgiving day. I had not driven further than 30 minutes for the past 7 months since my accident. It never once came into my mind that i wouldnt feel well during the drive...i believed it would be just fine. I did the 4 hours with no trouble at all. 2 days later, i drove the 4 hours home and had no issues at all. You can do whatever you set your mind to if you have to do it.

Suffered a TBI with PCS on April 25th 2011 from multiple blows to the head from falling, unconscious for 12 hours with no memory of event. Hit the back of my head, and above right eye. MRI and CT negative. Symptoms included constant headaches (migraine, pressure, tension, icepicks), dizziness, tinnitus, visual changes, photophobia, fatigue, "spacing out", word finding difficulties, depression, and emotional lability.
Began Healing in November 2011 after starting acupuncture and Healing Touch (a nurturing energy therapy that promotes relaxation and pain relief). I went back to work in February 2012. Ive been symptom free since July 2012. Very happy, positive, energetic and working out every day, doing yoga, and living a normal life again!
I also began taking Healing Touch classes in November 2011 and completed 5 Levels of Healing Touch Certificate Program that included a 1 year mentorship to become a Healing Touch International Practitioner in June 2013. I am so pleased to offer this wonderful healing therapy to my patients, friends, and clients.
