I think it only happens if there are graphics, or at least I'm hoping it's okay when you actually read a book. I got the cover at BJ's, bought the protection plan, ordered a plug for charging, and downloaded two free books. I think I'm good to go!! As soon as I finish reading my new Stephen King novel I'll start on my free books on the Kindle.

I loved the idea of the Kindle Fire but my husband already has his ipad (free from work until they want it back) and I can use then if I want. I was just tired of trudging to the library for books. Boy am I lazy!

I dont have the Kindle Touch (my dad will on Xmas tho) I've read on some of the Kindle forums that there might be a way to adjust the refresh settings on the KTouch. I'm not sure how to do it, but look in your settings, and see if there's a setting for the refresh rate.

Altho, I did read that might affect the ability to "pinch" the screen. (kind of like you can do with an iPad or other touch screen)
