My foot does the same thing. During the day at therapy, it swells up and they then make me do contrast baths with just the cold water to bring down the swelling. You can probably imagine how that is so I don't tell them when my foot is swelling anymore. Almost anything is better than that water. In the morning when I wake up though, it has gone down a lot. Mine turns purple instead of red when it swells though.

Haha, I was soooooooo happy when they had a sale at Walmart on those for like a dollar each so I stocked up on all of the fuzzy socks they had

They were scared of the same thing with me as they were with you when I had a blistery looking thing ontop of my foot. They didn't want it to burst open or anything so the fuzzy socks helped with that.
