I agree with Klaus. I put an ice pack at the base of my neck and then one on my forehead/eyes. The cooling sensation helps to take the throbbing away and the blood flow better through my brain I think.

I too have chronic sinus issues, especially related to weather. So this is something I would do even before my accident to take away a migraine. If you feel it could be sinus related, make sure you keep really hydrated. It thins the mucus so you head doesn't feel so clogged inside.
