I think thats a bunch of horse crap. I went to a tos confrenece 2 yrs ago and watched the surgeons banter back and forth why their methood of incision an removal was better than the others. Through the armpit is not outdated it is a much safer way to avoid damaging more of the nerves, IMO.
Its surgeons pride and pig headedness that brags there way is better than another, and I have no time for ignorant surgeons who put down anothers methood.
