my father stripped me of my natural process
into womanhood and my mother knew
i left at seventeen brutal that he was
sick for certain

God took that day and replaced
it with the birth of my beautiful son
all four of my children know
i am in council now with a good therapist
on and off all my life
i am an advocate for such help
please oh please save yourselves
