You are so right! We had a generator blow, and we were out of electric for a couple of hours before christmas. Almost all our neighbors were walking around asking each other if they had power. All of us were like in a daze and quite lost without phone, pcs, laptops, all of it. As we were talking, neighbor meeting further away neighbors, that came into the dicussion. Some people were really angry and stressed, others were laughing at our sudden discomfort. The whole situation showed me just how dependant we have become.
