Lyrica is being trialed again in US to try and get that anxiety
approval from the FDA. This failed the first time around.
And this blog says it has failed to be approved in US a second time:

So it is probably not a strong anti-anxiety agent. Something must be going on with it.

Some of your issues, may be withdrawal effects, and may wear off. I'd consult your doctor about it.
