In my experience, a concussion clinic is just a center with multiple disciplines; MD, PhD, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and such to provide or sell a larger billable treatment regimen.

Every concussion clinic will be different from the rest due to the fact that there are no standard or recognized treatments for PCS.

Each symptom should be addressed individually as the matrix of symptoms changes greatly between each PCS patient.

There are many professionals who are jumping onto the concussion bandwagon to build or expand their practice. Some, if not most, are set up to facilitate a 'return to play' standard for athletes.

I have been seen by an area 'Concussion specialist' and was treated like a source of billing for services rather than a patient with valid concerns.

So as the Latin goes, Caveat emptor, Let the buyer beware. Consumers of healthcare need to understand that medical care is a business first.
