Hi Lily....YES you do want to taper really slow and under the care of a physician. I was put on ativan for another reason and I was just thinking about stopping it when I developed this horrible vertigo, and my neurologists says it would of been even worse had I not been on the ativan..so for me, I guess I am stuck with it unless they can find something else.

ALL meds should not be just stopped. It really can be a VERY serious matter. I hope you find a safe way to do this and I wish you the very best of luck
