There's a variety of reasons, but mine are from vaso-spasms. They use to discolor as well everyday, but now I've had discoloring about 3 times in the past year.

If I change my position, I can sometimes get pressure off the nerve and my hand will flood with warmth. I don't have any swelling or vascular symptoms.
