Thanks for the suggestions Mark & Donna. I'll look into the neuro-psychological examination.
Donna - we definitely will take it easy after symptoms abate. As avid hockey fans, he and I have followed Sidney Crosby's aborted return and understand that it's a very delicate process. We've talked about the possibility that this could go on a long time and for now, he's fine with it. He also understands that Crosby's lengthy layoff was likely due to a second concussion in close proximity to the first.
Up here in Canada, concussions have received so much recent coverage, with other older players who had suffered similar injuries really shining a light on the nature of the ordeal concussion victims experience and the care required to ensure that future symptoms/injuries/limitations are minimized to the extent possible.
