I'm not a doctor, but like you said, I'm pretty sure your heart rate was increased due to the anticipation of the procedure. I don't think its anything to worry about. Mine can be anywhere from 80-105.
About a month or so ago, I went to the ER because my heart was beating weird. They decided to give me an EKG. Well, the nurse checked my blood pressure before giving me the results. While the machine was hooked up to me, I asked the nurse what the results of the EKG were. When he told me it was clear, he started laughing and told me my BPM was dropping drastically from 105 to 89.
If the doc wasn't too concerned about it, its probably nothing. I always stress about things like that but the docs never say anything so I figure I'm okay.
Today I went to fill a prescription for my son at CVS. They had a blood pressure machine there and I decided to try it out. I was 150/100. Freaked me out. But since my injury its been high like that and the nurses/doctors never say anything.
If your really concerned about it I would ask the doc next time you see him/her. Just for peace of mind.
