i hope you can get more sleep tonight also. it usually takes me a while to go back to a day schedule... going to a night owl schedule i can literally do overnight it seems! LOL.
my former
pdoc also considered daytime napping poor sleep hygiene. he said resting was ok, and i seem to recall he said if you really need a nap, to set an alarm for no more than half an hour.
he was also very strongly against sleep deprivation because of its effects on bipolar mood (induces mania, and to those predisposed, mixed states) however, and when push came to shove, he would tell me,
just sleep whenever you can. however, i was not working at the time ... you are sort of between the devil and the deep blue sea in that respect.
