Hi Katiebell,

A google of: pristiq weight gain suggests yes; some people are experiencing this S/E. Others say they are losing weight while on this medication.

Shedding the extra weight may depend on what kind it is. If it's water retention, a diuretic may help. If due to increased appetite, slower metabolism, etc. then lowering intake along with increased exercise (the usual for losing weight) should apply. (Not implying it will be easy)

Gaining/losing that much weight that quickly isn't good; IMO you should make your doctor aware of it. S/he may modify your dosage, change your prescription entirely, or have some other suggestions for helping control it.
