I had rib removal and scalenectomy 4 days ago with amazing outcome so far...posted about it today if you want to read up. There are so many stories of bad surgery outcomes, I feel it's important to report the positive outcomes also. I must caution, however, that my symptoms could still return to varying degrees if scar tissue forms...I'll keep you posted on that progress.

Be prepared for all manner of changes post op, the pain meds can mask such alot! You may well feel quite abit of discomfort after you ween off the post op meds???? Just be careful with lifting bags over 5lbs in weight as this can cause alot of stress on the scar tissue!
