I just started to get dizziness again, which is the worst and a whoosing in ear. ATOS on both sides, but the right was doing much better after therapy. Has anyone else experienced dizziness with TOS? I can handle pain pretty well, but this dizziness I hate.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! terrible dizziness and the awful whoosing in the ear.
I posted back in November regarding dizziness and whooshing in the ears. The whoosing is not as common but there were a few others that agreed with the dizziness problem, your not alone.
I experienced the whoosing/pulsing ( to my heartbeat ) in my ear, post op ( first rib excision). I mentioned it to my surgeon but it was pretty much dismissed!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm now 4 1/2 months post op and can thankfully say that the whoosing sound has almost ( hopefully) subsided but I did have it bad for about 3 months. It returns stronger if I am rushing about or sometimes when I lay down and I can still hear it when it is quiet but it is alot less intense. I'm so happy that it has settled down because it sounded so loud in my ear that it affected my hearing and concentration levels.
You may find it useful to look up "Pulsatile Tinnitus". It may return??????? But for now I'm just happy to have a break from it. Tension and stress can make it worse, also alcohol intake ( dehydration).
Try to relax as much as possible. I hope it settles for you... I know how horrid the whoosing can get
Best wishes
