If it were me, I would keep looking for a doc who I feel truly understands my issue and wants to compassionately treat me and improve my quality of life. I don't know how many docs it takes to get to the right one, but with something so huge, the search will hopefully be worth it. If you are near a teaching hospital, that might be a place to consider getting your foot in the door?
