Default DIY techno fixes

Hi people, old nerd here who wants to help if possible. First, I'd like to just discuss some possibilities, not sure if anyone wants to go down this path but
I sure do. Personally, I have something that resembles ALS, but is less full body, has things that don't match ALS and so on. But the trajectory is clear that I need to be doing everything I can to anticipate and fix things before they are needed. And I don't like depending on insurance or personal savings to buy stuff at retail.

Here are some ideas that we could work on.
mechanical switches tied to the hand or elbow.
software that speaks for you, based on you choosing prerecorded
statements, phrases or words by selecting one or two letters on screen.
PC mouse replacements (software based).
3d printer produced small plastic parts that fit you personally.
Like breathing masks or body mounted sensors for finger twitch
or eyeblink.
Bedside PC monitor support.
Designs for wheel chair ramps made from old boards. Small stuff to get
in or out of the house.

Just my initial suggestions. I'd be pleased to hear anyone else's ideas. Have a conversation about them and then see if it is doable. The idea is to create ideas that others can pick up and get something out of it. The software could be given away here for free. Just the ideas are valuable because they give options where there were none before.

Anyone interested?
