I have had bad eyesight since childhood. I am nearsighted and farsighted. If I didn't spend the extra money for progressive lenses I would wear fish bowls or coke bottle glasses. I'm real hesitant about driving at night or long distances. I think it is a mixture of fatigue and anxiety. Besides I don't really trust my eyesight too much when driving. I drive a sporty car and my next will be a small suv or sedan. I only drive about 20 miles or less in a trip. Before MS, I was pretty much a race car driver. I had no fear of driving in rush hour traffic or night time driving. Now I pray while driving in the rain or snow. I try not to drive after dusk. But with it getting dark before 5, I have to drive home from work.
