No other health problems before surgery, so I guess that helped with my quick and easy recovery. As for now and the future, keeping my shoulder girdle really strong seems to help with the remaining symptoms.

I have gotten so much help from forums before I decided to have the surgery, I wanted to offer to answer questions to anyone who might be interested.
Where was your incision/s made? How are your scar's, what do they look like now?
I'm almost 5 months post first rib excision, with 3 1/2" incisions above and below my collarbone. They are visually looking much better but still some way to go regarding loss of redness. Did you experience tightness around the incision region and if so how long before the area started to feel relaxed?
Any input would be appreciated.
