I use to be this way until I started having hot flashes around 35. Then the weight pilled on over the next couple years I gained 20 lbs. Then I got rsd and gained another 20-25 lbs. I am going to see about getting put on estrigen to see if this will help. I will try and eat healthy snacks in between meals also. But I tell you I'm craving chocolate just sitting here writing.

I have a very fast metabolism prior to the RSD...could eat anything and just never gain the weight...and I think part of that was because of the way I ate throughout the day instead of 3 larger meals. I've seen things on tv and read some stuff about this...something about how eating throughout the day keeps your system from going in rest/fat storing mode or something. Even just substituting different foods for your snacks (like a sandwhich or a yogurt or whatever) may be helpful. I still allow myself a cheat every now and again (like once a week)...cutting certain things out of my diet completely has just not been possible...but that one little cheat every now and then doesn't seem like it messes up my diet or anything.

Good luck.
