Do you have the new light bulbs... the energy saving ones?
We have had them for a while now, and the one in the dining room started to "burn" out...and made a terrible burning smell.
(I think this is the first one to burn out in fact--they last a long time)
Hubby denied smelling it...as I am the super sniffer around here.
But we both tracked it down to the bulb leaking. I sure hope it wasn't mercury vapor leaking out!
We replaced the bulb and the smell is gone. I found it very worrisome however.
