At 6:00 this morning hubby looked at the cpap machine again. It has a heating device to warm the water in the humidifier. . . . .
According to hubby, the machine can burn some hair or dust
(It is a bulky machine that I keep on the floor.)
The heating element was very warm (almost hot) when I tested it with my hands. I cannot make a good guess on the temperature because the kitchen thermometer I tried did not work.
When I take off the mask, the element and the water cool almost immediately.
If I were up to the task, I could look for a better thermometer or call the company ----- not going to do those things for now.
