As far as the headaches go, I don't know if the meds you have available there are the same as what's available here. Here amitriptyline (Elavil) is commonly used for headache prevention. It's a medication you take every day, not just when a headache is coming on. It can make you feel very sleepy.
Also, if you are still getting headaches, this could be a sign that you are overstimulating your brain with things like watching TV and using the computer. Sometimes the headache doesn't come on right away -- you do too much and then get a headache a few hours later or even the next day. So try to pay attention to what you've been doing before you get a headache and try reducing those activities.
Once you have a headache, you can also use ice packs on your head and/or neck to help relieve them.
Your doctor's advice to get back to things slowly is very good advice. Light activity for your body and your brain is good, but don't do anything that increases your symptoms.
Good luck! Let us know how it goes.
