Fiona I'm not sure if US is as you say but if it is........I too had my injections done this way

Like what Mark says. I was taken In to a theatre and made to like on my tummy. An X-ray machine, with a Radiographer present, was placed over my spine. Between my Consultant and Radiographer they positioned the X-ray machine over the exact position they needed to inject. Then went ahead with the injections........sore as they were

I've had that procedure done a few times but never felt any relief from them. I do remember when I would turn over seeing a very clear image of my spine both when I had my fusions done, fascinating to see the work done there plus all the hardware that was present. Mindboggling!!!!!!!

As I say Fiona I think this may be similar to what your Dr is speaking of doing. I did feel pain around that insertion area for a couple of days. But hey you know what pain is like and you will think this is nothing compared to the daily pain you endure
