I frequently get a paralytic ileum. The intestines stop moving. My physical therapist can help get it moving again by working on my neck and upper back (TOS). When I am symptomatic in this area, my movements are like deer droppings. Very annoying.

Another issue that can effect women is hormones out of balance. One of the female hormones ( I forget which) causes the intestines to slow down. This is during the fertile part of the cycle.

A good hormone assessment may help. Check out https://www.womensinternational.com/..._referral.html to find a specialist in your area. Many generic doctor (gyne, internists, etc) use to broad a range of hormone levels to help with this. A specialist is better.

My best to you.
