I grew up in the late '50s/early '60s with television as my "nanny". While other kids parents read them Grimm or Dr. Seuss, mine read me Asimov, Bradbury, Clarke, Verne, and Wells, so I've had an affinity for old movies - science fiction in particular - since early childhood. Finding gems like
Monster... was never hard on late, late shows, but since AMC (before they went commercial) and TCM began showing them unedited and without commercials, we B-movie fans have been blessed and vindicated. (And before anyone mentions it, yes, my DW & I - both - are
MSTies...

Much of our collection (including Monster That Challenged the World) is still on VC, but they DO help distract one from chronic pain
