You sound like me...and unfortunately, we're both in situations where "breakthrough" szs are much more likely than they are for someone with no known cause. Since you apparently had a sz while you were on med, the likelihood of being off med permanently with no return of your szs is probably very low. I'm sorry.

Certainly ask your neuro, as I'm just a well-read, lifelong neuro patient myself, but this is what I know. It's simply not a realistic expectation under such circumstances. Your brain has suffered a great insult, and this is the result. A small dose may give you excellent control, as it does me, but med may (and probably will) always be necessary.
