can clinical trials be far behind? I have been exploring trying some Manuka honey based facial cream and learned it is pretty powerful in knocking out H. pylori; I don't necessarily have that but am pretty sure i have some yeast overgrowth from taking one of those super potent one dose antibiotics-it wiped out the good flora, and my PD meds have been underperforming since then.

I decided it may help clear up my intestinal woes and ran across a variety with bee venom.

Much to my surprise I learned I learned that MJFF funded a study on bee venom for a FRench doctor who learned that the venom potentially stop the loss of dopa neurons in an animal model. However, there is proof it works in humans...the doctor who was funded first observed a PWP being treated for another condition and noted that it also greatly improved his PD symptoms. This was in 2009, and I now see that this doctor filed a patent in 2011 for an apamin compound specifically for PD. Yay! It is currently in clinical trial in Paris with results completion in March 2013. Several animal studies show the efficacy of this treatment. There is also option of acupuncture using bee venom; this has successful outcome too!!! Doc's name is Hartmann.

Anyway, for us white rats who want to give bee venom a try, we can find readily available options. I am going to try simply ingesting manuka honey with bee venom (sold online thru Amazon or Koru Naturals) first. Depending on how I do with that I will try the acupuncture or injection therapy. BTW, many places offer injection therapy while acupuncture not as easily found.

Interesting how this points to microbial pathogens as a PD causal.
