I've been using magnets for over a decade now successfully.
They have to be placed carefully to work and they have to be STRONG, to penetrate. Older magnets were not strong, hence people think all magnets are fringey.

The reason acupuncture works, has been discovered. It affects adenosine levels in the nerves, which are a part of ATP.

The research focuses on adenosine, a natural compound known for its role in regulating sleep, for its effects on the heart, and for its anti-inflammatory properties. But adenosine also acts as a natural painkiller, becoming active in the skin after an injury to inhibit nerve signals and ease pain in a way similar to lidocaine.
One can raise adenosine with d-ribose a sugar available OTC easily. This works for Fibro patients and some with Chronic Fatigue. I've used it myself for my PN a while back. 5-7.5 grams a day. Adenosine is composed of ribose and another molecule. Ribose is not plentiful in our food chain. So supplementing helps some people.

If you search Ribose on the boards, you find those posts on Fibro and PN.
