I came here looking for information with my upcoming surgery also. I had C3-7 repaired. I am wondering if you did get a second opinion?. It is always wise to do that when you have these conditions. After the surgery is alot of rest. I was not active at all for those first few weeks. The two week mark I felt alot better, and the pain from the surgery had diminished so that I was able to do more things for myself. In my case I did have alot of pain at first, but the medications I was given really did help. I have good resolution to my condition 21 months later. I am not perfect but the proceedure did help me.
