Default Been MIA for awhile

Life is going well. I found an email in my inbox to a thread I'd been following for some time. So I finally found my way back. I think too that sometimes I tend to put distance between myself and things that were painful and when I found this message board I was in a lot of pain both mentally and physically. I've accepted the PN and what it means for me and how it affects my life. It could certainly be much worse.

The problem now is I think it's spreading to my hands. I need to talk to my Nurse Practioner about it but have had other health issues recently that kind of just removed that from my mind. It does need to be dealt with though. And maybe I've gotten so used to the foot issue that the apparent spread of symptoms to my hands doesn't bother me as much as it should...? And too, with no insurance, I'm kind of stuck as far as getting to the bottom of the hands thing.

A medication change or two over the past couple of years and a pair of Crocs made a lot of difference to me. The related RLS I had is gone unless I take certain meds. That was a huge relief. I can handle the PN pain, etc. as it's being managed fairly well with meds. But the RLS was making me suicidal. One does need to sleep. Mirapex helped while I was still having symptoms. I stopped taking Zyrtec and within a few weeks the RLS was gone. I take Xyzal (Zy-Zal) now which is the new improved version of Zyrtec. It's a much "cleaner" version. I also found out that Robtiussin D cause RLS symptoms for me as well. Mirapex helped me get through a nasty chest cold this past week. Interesting the things that can cause symptoms for me.

The vitamin/supplement therapies seemed to help to a certain point. I just wish I could afford to take what I need on a continual basis. Sucks being in this situation in the US. So I limp along and make the best of things as many of us do. And I remind myself, daily, that things could always be much worse. I'm blessed if this is the worst health issues I ever encounter.

I hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected here.
