With the new Q-gel, you don't need the high doses.

Start at 30mg a day which is the lowest they make. You can increase
to 60 in a month if you see no improvement.

Here is their dosage suggestions:

It appears that the price has come down dramatically from what
it was.

The ribose comes in 240gram tubs powder. I'd start at 5 grams a day for a week, and see how you feel. You can raise to
10grams slowly over a month if you need it that high.

I get good results with 7.5 grams a day. You can take it any time,
just mix in water...it is mildly sweet. I take mine at night because it seems to help me sleep. This may be slow for you at first. It took a month for me when I started it. Then summer came and I thought I didn't need it anymore, so I stopped it.
Now this Feb has been a painful month, so I started again, and it was fast this time. Maybe I am primed for it now? Don't know.

If you have elevations in blood sugar, this may reduce them.
So test and see. If you use Freestyle monitor it may register false highs. I use One Touch and it has a different system not affected by other sugars than glucose like the Freestyle ones.(Abbott)

I bought the first tub from iherb.com Doctor's Best.
When I saw it worked well, I went to Puritan's for the others.
It works out less expensive at Puritan's for buying more than one.
