The pains have been, on occasion, like an electric shock. Aspirin and naproxin sodium don't seem to help...ibuprofen does help somewhat. It thas been coming and going now for almost a week, but at some point during day or night, it rears its ugly head. Was this caused by an infection that traveled to a nerve? Will it ever stop? What can i do? Help!! Very hard to concentrate and be productive. Any advice or comments welcome. (P.S. - I'm not a newcomer to headaches of all kinds including migraines, and this is nothing like anything else!)
I'm no doctor, but I had a similar situation. I had a surgery where a breathing tube hung out the side of my mouth for hours. After my surgery, I started getting sharp pains on the left side of my head behind my temple. My Chiropractor put on rubber gloves, stuck his thumbs in my mouth grabbing my lower jaw and while another Chiropractor held my head stabble, pulled my jaw outward. I felt my jaw "pop" for lack of a better term and my pain was immediately gone. I sure hope that it could be that easy for you.
