They will do their thing and Alan can do his. The nurses do this all the time and I doubt any of them expect to be entertained. This is their clinical practice area, rather than a hospital ward or unit. Don't worry about it til they get there. It's not a big deal. Just play it by ear. I'm sure none of them will mind if he watches TV with his headphones. Of course if they're interested in watching too, that might be a different situation.
