Here's my overdue update: I called the agent last Monday and he confirmed that they DID have my materials. Apparently they are still waiting on some medical records, but at least they have everything they need from me at this point.

MAJOR relief!!!

Too bad about the panicky weekend in the meantime.

Will definitely be sure to get written confirmation next time. Thanks for all your input and suggestions.
