I can't read an MRI report very good, but I can tell you desiccate means to dry up. I have had this happen to me and it does cause you not to be able to stand or walk very much. However I bet you can sit or drive ok, can't you? I have had 7 back surgeries. One was to put in a SCS, or Spinal Cord Stimulator. It didn't not help and I had it taken out last September. My disc's all look like spools. Yours may too!

I know nothing about Scoliosis. It does sound like you might need surgery but I am no DR. What does your DR say? I have mainly had fusions, 5 of them. Then they have had to be redone, with other material. They first used screws, and I was allergic to them. Then they grafted my pelvis bone in, it crumbled. Next, they put in artifical bone, so far its holding.
