for me, it becomes most energizing at this point:

And that high-note variant on the melody on "the skies" is not only a "surprise" (at least on first hearing of the song), but embodies the idea of lifting off, flying away... just ... it really takes me away.

i start hearing the subsequent "come sail away" parts as invitations to sail away on the starship... (it is just how it feels).
In this case, it is inconsequential for the purposes of my experience that they are aliens and not angels. It's the simple thought of flying away...
