I've had a full upper and bottom partial for about 20 years, I still don't like them but you do adapt.

Did you have an 'immediate'? Did they pull the teeth and put the denture right in or did you have to wait? The immediate ones tend not to fit as well because your tissue will shrink and change. I paid for another one myself after around a year, I doubt you could find anyone to do it before you are fully healed, I'm not sure how long that takes.

They won't feel so huge after you are used to them, try a little adhesive if they feel loose.

I'm sorry I don't have some happier thoughts to report, some people really do like them. I don't think mine look very good either but I've seen pictures of myself and they actually look fine. It will get better.

Whatever you do heed the dentist advice to have regular checkups and not let them become poorly fitting. It will deform your jaw and it will be very hard to get a good fit afterwards.
