When you come off a steroid taper, there can be many sensations you may notice. Some people have low grade
inflammation in places, get suppressed by the steroid briefly, and when the course is over, they return suddenly and are very noticeable.
I had a terrible spider bite one summer and did a high dose pred treatment with a taper. It suppressed the arthritis in my neck which I didn't really "notice" so for several days I felt terrific.
Then the BOOM, return of the symptoms.... eventually the effects faded into the background for me.
This might happen with you too. Perhaps your fingertips will return to normal in a short time.
